'Inspired by actual events' (as they say) that occurred in the Los Angeles of the 1920s, Clint Eastwood's stylish and edgy The Changeling tells the story of Christine (Angelina Jolie), a woman driven to confront a corrupt LAPD after her abducted son is apparently found.
From the moment of delivery in front of a battery of magnesium flash cameras and beaming and over-decorated cops, she suspects that the little Walter returned to her is not the same boy she's known since he was born.
Christine, played by Jolie (who really earned her stripes with last year's underrated A Mighty Heart) with restraint but projecting a mounting rage and despair, had never anticipated that this was the day her life would be forever changed.
